The Power in Words !

The Power in Words !

“ A piano sits in a room, gathering dust. It is full of the music of the masters, but in order for such strains to flow from it, fingers must strike the keys … trained fingers, representing endless hours of disciplined dedication. You do not have to practice. The piano neither requires it nor demands it. If, however, you want to draw a beautiful music from the piano, that discipline is required….

You do not have to pay the price to grow and expand intellectually. The mind neither requires it nor demands it. If, however, you want to experience the joy of discovery and the pleasure of ploughing new and fertile soil, effort is required.

Light won’t automatically shine upon you nor will truth silently seep into your head by means of rocking-chair osmosis.

It’s up to you. It’s your move”

Chuck Swindoll

… I have read Chuck Swindoll’s words, pondered on their deeper meaning and the thought that came to mind was:

Letters of the alphabet - all 26 of them, Sit gathering dust, full of wisdom, comedy, instruction of the masters ...

It has always amazed me how the good books “Christian Bible or the Muslim Quran or the Hindi Vedas” contain the wisdom of the ages, Using the same A, B, Cs used by the fool ??.

The same building blocks, used by the Bible to instruct wisdom,

The same building blocks, used by the fool to web his foolery ...

JK Rowlin, Madam Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Taking these same 26 characters, and furnish great elaborate tales that entertain the world ....

Letters, joined into words, sequenced in an intelligent manner, and set free to dazzle the world ...

No wonder even the God of the Christians, to exhume strength Said, He is the “WORD”... and all things where made by the Power of His Word ...

What amazing truth that is ….

There is a building, prior to the building there is a plan of the building, prior to the plan of the building is an idea of a building,

The genesis of it all is the 26 characters, that formulate a word, sequenced into sentences that fully capture the idea, then the plan, then the outward manifestation of the physical building we all see ...

From the formless comes form .....

But l also hear Chuck speak of a secondary theme, That of potential !

There is literally, potential all around us ...

A tree is potentially a classical piano, an antique dinning set, A home ...

But not to all,

Only to the trained hand, the trained mind ...

In carpentry ...

A tree log has no relevance to the untrained mind, and the untrained hand ...

It is only but a tree ....

But he that has invested the time, learning the foundations of carpentry, and toiling away in the trade ...

To him, Every tree is a potential master piece ...

I love how Jim Rohn says, You must plant the seed ...

You must invest the time in the craft to realise the potential in each tree ....

Thank You Chuck !

Your words have opened a door to a pattern of thought that would not have existed had it not been for these provocative words ....

May these provocations inspire you to make 2019, the Year you need it to be ….

You are very poetic in your review and that’s intriguing. Do you write books yourself ??
