My life is too short to hold back my true emotions!
Have you ever woken up feeling like you were living your dream? That feeling of complete satisfaction, where everything feels perfect? This sensation, though momentary, is a reminder of the beauty of life when we allow ourselves to be truly present. How often do you tell the people you love how much they mean to you? Many of us hold back our true feelings, fearing vulnerability. Yet, it is through vulnerability that we find the deepest connections and the most profound joy.
I've been working on a fantastic project that is still in its early stages, and I can't wait to share more details with you in the coming weeks. This project has given me the opportunity to reflect deeply on our dreams and the essence of living fully in the moment. One thought that keeps surfacing is how our dreams often reflect our deepest desires and the parts of ourselves we may have neglected.
Many refugees, stateless and displaced people share a common experience: recurring dreams of their homeland. These dreams are filled with powerful emotions, a deep desire for a sense of belonging they've lost. This made me realize that even I have recurring dreams of my childhood home, Beirut, where I lived with my entire family. Though the details change, the feeling remains constant – the pain of missing something, someone, a time that's gone forever. These dreams remind me of the importance of acknowledging our past while embracing the present.
Reflecting on my life choices, the challenges I've overcome, and the achievements I've celebrated, I've come to understand the importance of believing in yourself, working hard for your dreams, and fostering strong connections. For me, success isn't just about achieving a lot, but about finding happiness, freedom, and a sense of belonging. It's about being able to say with pride, "I am Maha Mamo!" This sense of identity and self-worth is rooted in living authentically and embracing vulnerability.
Approaching the eighth anniversary of my brother's passing has been particularly heartbreaking. It's a constant reminder of the impermanence of life and the need to cherish every moment. This loss has taught me valuable lessons about the fragility of life and the importance of expressing our feelings. Whenever I feel the urge to express myself, I do it, even if it might seem a little cheesy. Life is too short to hold back our true emotions.
I believe that our decisions, big or small, are often guided by a combination of logic and intuition. When faced with equally logical choices, our gut feeling often makes the final call. Trusting this inner voice requires vulnerability, as it often means taking risks and stepping into the unknown.

I have so much to share with you – ideas, projects, and a wealth of emotions. But most importantly, I want you to know that I truly value your time. Whenever I write to you, it comes from the depths of my heart, with a sincere desire to connect. It's this connection, built on openness and honesty, that enriches our lives and raises a sense of community.
So, have a great day! Don't be afraid to express your feelings and thoughts. The world needs more love, empathy, and reminders that this journey of life is worth living with purpose and hope. By embracing vulnerability and living in the now with an open heart, we can create a more compassionate and fulfilling world for ourselves and those around us.
Thank you,
Maha Mamo
