The Power of a Vision Board

The very first vision board I created had one image of a stack of money bags in a large pyramid. I believe it was an image from a money article on creating wealth. But for me, that stack of money bags represented the debt I was going to eliminate (a 3-5 year plan that, with vision and grit, was accomplished).
INSPIRE
Visual prompts and images are powerful brain-training techniques I have found that pull us into a "preferred vision" rather than a "looking back" to the past.
CORE-4
I share with my executive leadership coaching clients: "keep it simple and fun as you create your vision". It's a mix between:
- Intentional choices
- Values you live
- Dreams and goals
- Aspirations to realize
INCLUDE
- Put something in the center of your vision board that represents your center– your core purpose.
- Include your "word of the year".
- Put life verses or life quotes that inspire your best life.
- Pictures and images around dreams, goals, aspirations, and what matters most to you!
- Some categories to possibly include: faith/purpose, family, lifestyle, health, accomplishments, dreams, and intentional living.
It might seem trivial but I believe vision– what we see in our future, can pull us forward.
