The Power of Validation

The Power of Validation

Every one of us needs validation. Validation is the affirmation of value to another person, and it is often communicated verbally through words. For someone to feel validated, they need for another person to speak truth into their situation and tell them that what they did or what happened to them matters.

For many people, their pain is hidden, and that pain isn’t healed until it is brought into the light and validated as meaningful and important. When we validate others by affirming their experience, we gain their confidence and empower them to speak up more and believe in themselves.
