Power Up and Thrive Summit

Wednesday, August 26 is Women's Equality Day in the United States, the hundredth year anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. 

Today we are living in COVID disrupted times. And we know that women are disproportionately affected by COVID and particularly women of color, black women in the US and Canada. 

We need women's voices now more than ever. We need women-power more than ever. We need to reclaim any of the ground that has been lost during COVID and through other means in the not too distant past. We gained so much ground over the last hundred years and, in particular, in the last 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years. Let's keep that going.

The Dalai Lama in 2009 here in Vancouver said that the world will be saved by Western women. Let's keep that pace going. Let's keep that truth.

All of this inspired me to create a one-day live event with 9 women leaders and experts, called The Tall Poppy Revolution? Power Up and Thrive Summit, where we’ll be talking about how women leaders can power up and thrive, especially right now and into the ever-changing future. 

It's time for a revolution that celebrates tall poppies, and gives them room to grow.
