The power of uncertainty

München, circa 1924. You pack as few things as possible. You are going somewhere called Argentina, a place even your fathers don't know much about. No internet with instant data to research; only a few stories you have heard of other people, who have gone there and it seems a better place to live now. Now I can feel your same feelings: leaving your best friends, your daily life for a different life with no chance of instant communication. Even some of your brothers and sisters, with the hope to see them soon, in a world where traveling side to side of the globe would take you months, not days not hours. A completely different language you don't speak and people would tell me many years after, you learnt very well, with a hard german accent, only soften by your looks. Arrived to Chaco, north of Argentina and it is really hot, an oven, but you keep cooking the best winter german and polish recipes you know. Everybody told me about your Weihnachtspl?tzchen and your Strudel! Many patient hours to get a transparent dough. Well known for being an extraordinary host, but much better known for caring about people.

You marry and have two kids, adopt one of your nephews and he dies. It's not the first time you face the sourness of youth death. You keep on going strong, because first of all you are a real woman with your virtues, limitations and mistakes as we all have. Gossiping was not your thing, you preferred being upfront, telling the truth and doing instead of talking about it. That is how you became the entrepreneurial woman I know today: having your own business at home, selling fresh eggs and chickens. In Buenos Aires you were known for your famous Frida's pollos frescos. Today organic food.

You show me everyday there is opportunity of great things creation in uncertainty if you overcome the anxiety's and fear's face uncertainty shows first. There is more after that face.

For many years I have been longing for memories with you, getting to know you much better, learning from you, but now I figure out, I received much more from you: your legacy through love across time.

Many confuse lack of flexibility with uncertainty management. Planning is everything in moments of uncertainty. The bigger the ship, the longer the term of planning and the quicker the moments of adjustment with collective lessons learnt!
