Power is TRUTH in Love!
Power is not just physical strength. We hear a great deal about power in a different context today, the context of political power and the influence it must be used to get things done. It seems most appropriate to follow up a series on getting things done on with this discussion.
Power is not something that we can easily gain on our own. It is given to us, acquired from others based upon position, leverage, money, and several other factors. It can be used in a negative connotation, or it can be used in leading others, to assert influence to change things the way they are.
While power can be intimidating because of possible misuse, we can’t lead change without it. For this reason, individuals at any stage of their lives can establish and use power, if they’re willing to understand its sources, which can be:
Can anyone use power to drive change? Change what? This is the real question that we must ask!
We are, if we are honest, driven most by our emotions. The strongest emotions are fear and love! Many of us are not only a slave to fear, but we are also a slave to our desires. We think that we are free because we think that we can do what we want, but we are entrapped by the desires of our flesh.
We don’t talk much about this subject because we do not want to admit our own weakness or desires. True power is the ability to break away, to rise to a higher level of thinking and acting. True power is the power of love!
Love is TRUTH!
Love is an action. We cannot just say, “I love you,” without showing it. It is meaningless. “Actions and truth” go hand in hand. What we believe is shown by what we do. It is not that it is wrong to love with words, but words without “actions” or “truth” are empty and make us liars. Use words to bless others, but back up words with actions.
Power produced by love; love translates into TRUTH! It is this love that will not only change our lives but the lives of all those around us. Love is central to who God is and what we are called to do. Yet this love that we are called to have we are incapable of producing on our own. The spirit of God produces it through us.?Followers of Jesus have the spirit of God living within them giving them strength and power. We can walk through this life unafraid because we have the power of God on our side.?

8 小时前One doesn’t need to be in a government position to wield power. There is power in words …power in numbers …and a superpower unlike any other in kindness that can change the earth’s orbit and its vibe IF individually and collectively exercised. With such power comes great responsibility. True great leaders lead by example and use their power with humility to empower others to be a force for good. Regardless of where one is in their faith journey, no one can deny that Jesus was a real human being who led by such an example. So WWJD and its question “what would Jesus do?” is a fair one that, if answered properly and acted upon accordingly would instantly make our world a better place. From a secular standpoint, simply encouraging others to “be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people” has the same end result ?? “Followers of Jesus have the spirit of God living within them giving them strength and power. We can walk through this life unafraid because we have the power of God on our side.” ?? Amen.
