The Power of Trust

The Power of Trust

As humans we have over 50,000 thoughts in a day. That’s more than 2,000 thoughts an hour or 34 thoughts a minute. Many of these can be as trivial as “what to eat for dinner” or reminding ourselves to pick up milk on the way home.

Some of our thoughts are inspiring. They get us excited. We can have ideas that may create the next ‘big thing’.

Imagine sharing these thoughts with community, leaders and subject matter experts to help create positive change in the health of our communities. Ufirst is an initiative of icare designed to create a safe space for people to share their thinking, their ideas and their experiences in order to co-create better outcomes for people, families and communities affected by an injury at work or on the road.

“Continuously change the status quo and explore ways of doing things better then yesterday” Vivek Bhatia CEO and Managing Director icare NSW

We are committed to hearing the voice of the system, acting on that voice and to effect the change that better enables injured people with support of their families and communities to recover to their full potential.

The next opportunity is being hosted in Parramatta on Thursday 7 December 2017. This “deep dive” event will build on the messages we heard from people during our recent regional community tour. A key message was the issue of trust in the accident and compensation system.

We will be joined in Parramatta by people with lived experience of the compensation system, by thought leaders, entrepreneurs, trusted employers, academics and the community business sector. We are looking forward to hearing how we can co-create a system that is trusted by people, families and community.

The event is designed to intrigue, challenge, and inspire innovation to solve the emerging economic, health and social challenges emerging for people affected by physical and psychological injury.

We are committed to partnering social innovation with thought leaders, employers, employees and community to develop effective solutions and to find new strategies, concepts and ideas that meet the social needs of communities.

We are very excited about what we will discover at this event and look forward to sharing the outcomes of the Parramatta Deep Dive .

The conversation needs to be on-going. We are always looking for ideas and we invite you to email me at [email protected] if you would like to participate in the conversation.
