I've been hooked on micro-improvements since the day I first saw this awesome snippet of wisdom.

This is not my idea at all... but it has definitely become a SoPro mantra. Not a day goes by without the team taking visible steps to improve systems, processes, quality, working conditions, strategy, communication... or some other aspect of the business.
If we can't point to today's 1%, the day isn't over.
And it really isn't hard to do. Anyone can spend an hour solving some niggley small problem that bugs the shit out of everyone in the office. Just step up and be the hero.
Whether you're restructuring the Client Satisfaction tracker or finally automating that bastard manual reporting process that owes you 40 minutes every Monday. The truth is you won't notice it today, not even after the first week. But when you look back at the end of next year, and consider how 200+ improvements have totally transformed your business, from where it was to a state you hardly recognise and barely thought possible... that's when you will appreciate the value of tiny gains.
Those one percents that nobody noticed at the time.
