The Power of Thank You

I have a confession to make…
I love charms! Over the years, my company, Charity Charms has built quite an impressive collection of meaningful symbols from all over the world. And given that I use these styles everyday in my work, you would think I would know each and every way they are being used, like the back of my hand.
But as I discovered a few days ago, the Universe still has a few surprises… even for me.
While creating a custom program for a charity, I laid out a plethora of samples and the Helping Hand charm fell to the forefront. It was surrounded by other powerful symbols like a heart, peace sign, key, angel wing, and puzzle piece. As we were discussing symbols and their meanings, my client pointed to the Helping Hand charm and asked, “what do you use this symbol for?
Why that is our universal symbol for THANK YOU for lending a Helping Hand.
This little symbol is the REASON I started Charity Charms..to provide tokens of Gratitude.
Gratitude is often times overlooked in the fray of a campaign, or just the challenge of everyday operations. It’s a challenge to run an effective organization…as we all know.
But what makes your organization run is the people. People LOVE to be thanked, appreciated, and acknowledged. They love to talk about what they did to help you. THANK THEM with our Helping Hand charm bracelet….and let them know you are GRATEFUL.

9 年I wholeheartedly agree. I read a similar study asking the question of " what motivates people to perform"random acts of kindness?" The answers were simple...People help others when they themselves feel empowered. I also thought this would be a wonderful teaching exercise/tool as well.:)
