Will Power is Temporary Meditation is Permanent.
We often see people channel their willpower to do various things like losing weight, eating healthily, quitting smoking, quitting alcohol, quitting social media, quitting watching porn et cetera.
While excellent behavior may last for a while, we often see that people go right back into bad habits at the behest of the smallest of triggers. This is where Meditation makes a clear difference when compared to willpower, with meditation the change is permanent, and following the right path almost becomes second nature.
Willpower can be a masochist as well where one has to fight his or her own demons constantly, the lure of the vice is always there in the background. With Meditation, the change albeit slow is always permanent in nature, once the mind has resurrected itself, making the right decisions from thereon is literally a no-brainer.
When we are short on time, for instance when you want to reduce your waistline in time to easily slip into your wedding suit channeling willpower makes total sense however if one is not chasing a timeline and wants a permanent solution that is less painful, then meditation is a better choice to bring about the change.
