I have been asking my students, colleagues, and friends this question, and the responses I received shared a common thread. Many described their favourite teachers as empathetic, going beyond just delivering course content.
These teachers made meaningful connections with their students, often linking the material to real-world experiences through stories. Moreover, they possessed a unique charisma that inspired and influenced their learners in a lasting way.??
The best teachers are not only knowledgeable but also relatable, creating an environment where learning becomes a shared, engaging journey.???
In the ever-evolving landscape of higher education, where technology, data, and innovation are shaping new learning methodologies, storytelling remains a timeless and powerful tool for creating deeper connections and enhancing understanding.??

Why Storytelling Matters in Higher Education?
A storytelling space allows people to explore ideas and pursue passions with fewer constraints, though still shaped by time, place, and resources. It encourages experimentation with less influence from money, societal pressures, or institutions, especially on social issues, while emphasizing connections and interactions.
Why is data not enough in today’s data-driven world when all the key decisions have been taken based on the data and strategies developed based on data, but only data does not make any significant impact in learners’ minds to connect the learners with the concept.
