We all realize that social media can be used for good or evil. Back in the 1940s when TV was first being introduced to the American people, many preachers turned their noses up at it. This was a grave mistake in the fact that we allowed the world to take control of the significant platform that could be used for the propagation of the gospel. To some extent, this is happening even today when it comes to churches.

In the winter of 1983, I heard the audible voice of God instructed me to go on TV. Even though the church (I still pastor) was tiny, and meeting in an old garage, the Lord spoke to me to go to the masses by the TV. From that time to this, he has provided marvelously. In approximately 1996, as I was getting ready to purchase a TV station, the Lord to be no. He told me that the Internet was going to be the major by which he would spread the gospel. At that time, we invested in what is called a T-1 line, which was massive in those days.

We began The Word Broadcasting Network, which is still in operation. For a season, God allowed us to be the number one broadcaster of the gospel on the Internet providing a platform by which ministers could take the gospel to the world. We are no longer the largest Christian Internet broadcaster, but we still have a large footprint. Not only do we carry reliable word preaching ministers by live streaming, but we archive their videos for they can be washed any time, and anyplace in the world where they have access to the Internet.

If things continue to progress in the way they are going, the earth will be covered with satellite Internet within the next five years. That means anywhere you go in the world will have a high-speed Internet available. This is such a profound divine reality within my heart to where I am always encouraging my brothers and sisters in Christ who are preaching a strong biblical message to jump in, and use this technology to get their message out.

When I first began TV back in 1983, it was $250 for 1/2 an hour on a small TV station. That was a one time shot at a specific time on a TV station. That means we paid $250 for a one time show. Now you can put your teaching on the Internet for free, yes for free. Internet video is global. We have thousands of videos of not just our church staff, but hundreds of other ministers that we have recorded through the years.

You might say: but how are we going to get the message out that we are on the Internet. Here Is Another Wonderful Opportunity! It is called Social Media! It is something the Lord has had me to get involved in. I use social media to get the gospel out, including the over 100 books the Lord has had me published to this date. I no longer depend upon the established methods to propagate the gospel. Here is an example, not too long ago it was in my heart to try to reach more people. I contacted one of the largest well-known spirit-filled magazine companies in America. This is not a negative comment about this magazine; it is just what I experienced.

By the time they shared with me how much it would cost, and how many people I could reach through their media promotions, magazine, what they call click through's it became evident to me that I am reaching many times more than they are FOR FREE. If I had to pay them the amount of money that they were going to charge me to reach the amount people I am already reaching, it would equate to over $500,000 for a one-time advertisement. No, I am not exaggerating, and actually underestimating. At this moment, through all of the social media platforms I am using, I am in contact with over 75,000 people.

Here is an example of what I do. To distribute the books that God has had me to write out to the masses, I will offer them for free as Amazon allows. In one day alone, God allowed me to give away over 9000 e-books.

I do not think that there is any Christian publisher out there that could've allowed me to do this by their promotions. Now, once someone downloads one of my books, many times, it will lead them to purchase or download my other books that are for free.

What is this all about? It is about getting the gospel, the reality of Jesus Christ to the multitudes. I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the technology that God is made available to us. If you have not been using these platforms, go before the Lord, and ask Him what he would have you do?
