The Power of Sisterhood: A Journey of Influence and Empowerment

In April, I was nominated for the?Singapore-based, Global Women of Influence Awards 2024, a celebration of women driving impact and change.

Setting aside time, I crafted my nomination application. Responding to each question allowed me to reflect on my journey, celebrate, and champion the challenges, changes, and contributions I made along the way. To appreciate and value how far I have come, over the past 18 years in business.

Pushing 'send', placed my nomination in the hands of the universe.

In August, I received notification that I was one of the winners!

On September 11th, I attended the Virtual Global Women of Influence Awards Ceremony 2024. A prestigious multidisciplinary award, recognising and celebrating the extraordinary accomplishments and unique achievements of diverse women representing various sectors, career stages, and contributions to the advancement of women.

The winners of the award were chosen from more than 350 applicants globally. Each one made a transformative impact on society and demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication towards their purpose, leaving a mark in 2023.

Now, I’d like to share mine from this memorable occasion:

"Good evening, everyone. I am truly honoured to be here today as one of the recipients of the Global Women of Influence Awards 2024. This recognition means so much to me, not just as an individual, but as part of this incredible, passionate, and powerful group of women. Winning this award is a testament to the effort, practice, feedback, reflection, and growth that continues to shape my journey. It represents the Can Do approach, network, success, and resilience I’ve built.

I feel immense gratitude for the abundance of opportunities I’ve had to share tools, techniques, and strategies to empower women globally, helping each of them become a courageous, confident, and connected champion. This award reflects the collective strength of the sisterhood we’ve cultivated.

Special thanks to Neera and Shikha for creating this platform that celebrates global talent and provides a space to lift one another. To be recognized here is a true honour, and I’m excited to continue my work, alongside all of you, to create a more empowered future for women everywhere. Thank you so much."
