The Power of silence and smile
We live in the information age, constantly connected with overflowing information from multiple source. In the urge of establishing our credentials, we act to be busy and fail to spare time for ourselves: and the immediate/ extended family and friends. Sorry, I don't buy if someone says no time or busy (for themselves).
How many of us spent a whole evening with family, keeping smartphone away? Do we exercise in gym, without songs playing on our ears?
We are constantly surrounded by noise and this leads to stressful time. We think we relax, whereas it is the other way.
Think we need to take this challenge. Take a day, in a week, that you switch off your mobile (real reason of major stress from information on hand). Do those things that you were so fond of doing, during your childhood days. Spend time with nature and connect. Chit-chat with family over lunch. Meet friends and laugh more!
The best is to sit on the floor, cross-legged. Sit straight and close your eyes. Visualise something really nice and bring on smile on your face. Take deep breath, repeatedly, and exhale. Be mindful of the air flowing in and out of your organs. Exhilarate! As you sustain this, the result is astoundingly enormous.
Endorphins gets pumped up and you're sure to be better than the few best.
Try today? Good luck!
