The Power of Sight

Having conversations with people on curating a calendar, or with the ones trying to be more intentional with time, I’ve discovered that many have given up on the idea. I get responses like:
“It’s not for me.”,
“I don’t think it’d work.”,
“No level of scheduling can save me.”
[And, I’m over here thinking, “Hey… listen. You’re not too far gone for Jesus, okay?” But really, hear me out.]
You must be able to see that it is possible for you to become that person. You must be able to see yourself as a person that gets things done.
The ability to visualize or envision goals is a powerful catalyst for productivity.
Vision acts as a guiding force.
When you can see the endpoint or the desired outcome, your motivation and focus are heightened.
Thinking of yourself as a productive person translates into your actions. In “Atomic Habits”, James Clear proposes that you are more likely to build lasting habits when you make them identity based. For example, to build a reading habit, see yourself as a reader. Rather than setting a goal to read 50 books, tie the habit to an identity.
On your productivity journey, see yourself as a productive person who always gets the job done. Let your identity influence your actions.
