Developing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours can be influenced by self-talk, which refers to the inner dialogue that occurs in our minds. Negative self-talk can lead to negative emotions and stress, while positive self-talk boosts confidence, motivates us, and helps us manage stress.
We can maintain a growth mindset by engaging in positive self-talk, which supports the belief that our abilities and intelligence can be developed by consistently working hard. Positive self-talk can increase motivation and resilience by telling ourselves we can learn, grow, and overcome obstacles.
Stress and anxiety can also be managed with positive self-talk, which promotes a growth mindset. When we reframe negative thoughts and remind ourselves of our strengths and accomplishments, we can build confidence and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
It cannot be overstated how powerful self-talk can be. In order to grow, feel confident, and be resilient, we need to engage in positive self-talk.
