Last week, I had the honor of speaking at the Soirée Women's Leadership Symposium, an inspiring event with over 600 incredible women business leaders. It was a space filled with energy, determination, and a shared commitment to shatter barriers and redefine success.
Studies show that between 43% and 61% of women are burnt out, and the results from my Better Business, Better Life Assessment indicate that 9 out of 10 entrepreneurs are burnt out. With the opportunity to speak to a room full of women leaders, I felt more empowered than ever to share how business owners can break free of the survival trap and build work that supports life, not the other way around.?
When battling burnout, we need to take a proactive approach, even in the midst of chaos. If we continue to allow ourselves to get pulled in different directions, always putting out the next fire instead of addressing why the fires keep popping up, we can never break the cycle of burnout. When we identify our why, our immutable laws, and start prioritizing self-care, we can start creating a life that fills our cup instead of a business that drains it.?
This particular keynote felt even more impactful for me because it was the first time my family was also in the audience. During my speech, I had the honor of not just sharing my journey, but also our family's story of courage, resilience, and support. Only when I began to prioritize my self-care and make time for what matters most was I able to unlock true resilience. My love for my family and the need to spend quality time with them fuel my passion for spreading this message. They are my why.
What truly blew me away at this conference was the heartfelt conversations that I had with the women leaders in the audience! After my presentation, several women approached me, their eyes brimming with tears, sharing how deeply this message resonated with them. It's a testament to the power of community and solidarity in our collective journey toward personal and professional growth!
As I reflect on the symposium, I am filled with gratitude – for the opportunity to share my journey, my family's unwavering support, and the camaraderie of fellow women leaders. Together, we are not just breaking barriers; we are building bridges, lifting each other up, and paving the way for a more inclusive and empowered future. I am more engergized than ever to continue to share this message, connect with other women in business, and support entrepreneurs to implement systems that don’t just increase the profitability of their businesses, but the quality of their lives.?
