I'd like to talk about the importance of rest today. No matter how good we are at closing deals over the phone, we all understand how rejection and lost opportunities can affect our mental and emotional health.

That's why it's important to understand the different types of rest we need to restore our energy and improve our performance.

To ensure proper rest, there are seven different types that one must prioritize ?

1?? Physical Rest - Passive or active rest such as sleeping or engaging in restorative activities like yoga or massage therapy.

2?? Mental Rest - Taking breaks during the day, writing down bothersome ideas, and turning off technology at night.

3?? Sensory Rest -Unplugging from electronics and taking moments of sensory deprivation.

4??Creative Rest - Enjoying the outdoors and the arts to reawaken your creativity.

5??Emotional Rest - Freely expressing your feelings and cutting back on people pleasing.

6??Social Rest - Surrounding yourself with positive and supportive people.

7??Spiritual Rest - Engaging in something greater than yourself such as prayer or meditation.

Keep in mind that sleep by itself won't get us back to feeling rested. Getting the proper kind of rest is crucial if we want to function at our best.
