As a leader, especially in Human Resources, it's imperative to State that, leadership goes beyond managing tasks; it’s about empowering people positively and not entrapping or intimidating them.
True leadership lies in fostering a culture of influence, respect, dignity, and self-worth for the High and Humble in the workplace. This philosophy ultimately guides my approach to managing those under my care in the workplace.
1. Respect as the Foundation
Every individual, regardless of their position, deserves respect. Their role is valuable, whether it's the cleaner ensuring a neat workspace or a manager leading a team. Without their contributions, the company cannot thrive. My responsibility as an HR manager is to make sure every employee experiences this respect in their daily interactions, fostering trust and loyalty.
2. Boosting Self-Esteem
When employees are respected, their self-esteem grows. People who feel valued are more motivated, productive, and willing to take on new challenges. As a professional, I focus on highlighting their strengths and providing opportunities for growth, ensuring they understand their importance within the organization.
3.Building a Sense of Belonging
Respect and high self-esteem naturally lead to a strong sense of belonging. When employees feel included and valued, they align with the company's mission. For my years in office as HR, I work to create an environment where everyone’s input is valued, fostering collaboration and shared success. This is obviously the Hallmark of servant leadership.
