The Power of Reflection and how I met Emma Grede

The road of an entrepreneur is never an easy one. Often, you're juggling multiple roles while trying to maintain a level of balance to preserve your sanity. Journaling and reflective downtime have always been part of my routine, but recently, I've made a consistent effort to engage in self-analysis regularly.?
A few weeks ago, I was having what many business owners know as a "why am I doing this?" day. I found myself reflecting and questioning my next steps. An offer had come to the table for Kallure, and I was unsure if it was the right move for me. I asked myself: Do I still have the same passion? Does this work still feed my soul the way I want it to??
In that moment of stillness, I began reflecting on some of the women I admire in business, including Emma Grede True to my style, I started speaking out loud, manifesting my thoughts: “It would be incredible to meet Emma Grede one day. I don’t know how or when, but I’d love to talk business with her.” I wrote it down, then carried on with my day, leaving the thought in the back of my mind.?
Five days later, I received a text from the founder of Milk Honey Bees, an organisation I hold dear, inviting me to an intimate evening on entrepreneurship, growth, and goal-setting for 2025. And guess who was hosting it? Emma Grede.?
I had to take a moment—was this even real? It felt like the universe (God) was saying, “Girl, don’t give up. You’re on the right path.” So, I attended the event, and when they asked for a volunteer to answer some questions Emma posed, despite the nerves in the room, I put myself out there. It paid off. I had the chance to speak with Emma one-on-one, and it was lovely. We connected, discussed business and life, laughed, and even took some cheeky selfies (I’m guilty—I love a good pout pic!).?
The moral of the story, especially for those navigating entrepreneurship, is this: journal and be intentional with your thoughts. Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day, take time to reflect on what you want and where you’re headed. There’s so much noise in today’s world, and while everyone offers advice, the reality is that being in business takes guts, courage, and faith.?
Emma shared so many gems that night, but here are a few that really stood out to me:?
1. Mindset: A victim mindset won't get you anywhere. Do you want to be the woman who had an idea and failed, or the woman who failed, failed, and then succeeded? Just do it.?
2. Financial literacy: Know your numbers, even if you’re not naturally inclined. Learn the language of finance. Read the Financial Times weekly to understand how business operates and to stay informed.?
3. Vision: Always have a plan. Want to get into manufacturing? Go work at one. Have a plan, and when you’ve learned enough and grown too great for your current chapter, move on to the next.?
4. Resilience: If you’ve built something once, you can build something again. The framework is there, and now you understand it—so keep going.?
5. Truth committee: Surround yourself with people you trust—those who fill your soul and aren’t afraid to tell you the truth. Business can be a superficial world, but a strong support system is invaluable.?
We ended the evening with hugs and laughter, and Emma and I agreed that our paths would cross again. When they do, I’m to update her on all my successes. Let’s see what the future holds and what other dreams I can manifest along the way.?

2 周After watching many of her interviews, I got inspired by her journey and philosophy as an entrepreneur. I have one of her pictures as the lock screen picture on my phone (because I'm manifesting to meet her too)?? Until that day, I'm studying her to become as great as she is.
