The Power of Questions and Focusing on the 20% That Matters

As I reflect on day 42 of my 1,095-day journey to build ImP-Act, I find myself thinking about the importance of asking the right questions and focusing on the 20% of actions that will drive success. In the midst of taking a break, reading a book on startups and business, and refining my elevator pitch, business plan, and USP, I've gathered some insights I'd like to share with you.
Finding the 20% That Yields Results
In any endeavor, there will always be a core 20% of actions that generate the majority of the results. The key is to identify and focus on these high-impact activities. As I work towards my goals each day, I constantly ask myself, "What are the critical actions I need to take today to move the needle?"
Eliminating Distractions
In our hyperconnected world, it's easy to get sidetracked by notifications, social media alerts, and other interruptions. To maximize productivity, I highly recommend silencing your phone and turning off notifications from social networks and messaging apps. Take back control of your time and attention, and engage with these platforms when it's convenient for you, such as during a break between tasks.
The Art of Asking Questions
Questions have a remarkable ability to help us understand the needs of others and how we can best assist them. Whether it's our partners, our design partners, or our friends, asking the right questions is a skill worth cultivating. I believe in the importance of continually working on our listening skills and learning how to ask questions effectively. In fact, I plan to start practicing this skill more intentionally starting today. (Hold me accountable, will you?)
Your Insights Matter
As I continue on this journey with you, I want to make sure I'm providing the most relevant and valuable content. So, I have a few questions for you:
Thank you for being a part of this journey and witnessing the incredible progress that can happen in just 41 days. I'm glad I can document and share this experience with you, and I hope you find value in it too.
I firmly believe that continuous learning and improvement are the keys to genuine growth.
That's all for now. Here's to a fulfilling and peaceful day ahead. And let's hope I don't get called up for reserve duty.
Eliav.
