Movement without purpose looks like nervousness.

If you struggle with nervousness, and who doesn’t, practice deep breathing exercises to calm your nerves and project confidence. As you speak, observe your audience for cues—focus on eye contact with attendees leaning in with interest rather than those distracted by their phones or with furrowed brows.

Ron, your post reminded me of one ne of the most insightful lessons I learned when I first started my consulting and training business. That lesson was that professional speakers deliver value and are usually compensated versus public speakers expect something in return, such as resources donated. Both can add to one's credibility and business but in very different ways.
