POWER & PROSPERITY ***FREE TALK w/ John Patrick Morgan***

If you want to make more money, then you need to increase your power.

If that makes you uncomfortable, then I’d suggest your relationship with power is probably the primary obstacle to your income growth.

If it doesn’t make you uncomfortable, then you’re lucky to have escaped the unfortunately now-popular idea that power is somehow dark or wrong to desire.

As Nietzsche famously wrote:

“This world is the will to power–and nothing besides!

And you yourselves are also this will to power–and nothing besides!”

But what is power?

Is it having authority or being able to control others?

It could be, but those are just two kinds of power.

Power is also love.

Beauty is power.

Kindness is power.

Generosity and service are power.

Surrender and vulnerability are power.

Stillness and silence are power.

Non-violence is power.

Truth is power.

I’m sure you could continue this list because, deep down, everyone knows that power is about something much more than a position of authority or having control.

Simply stated, power is the difference we make in a specific amount of time.

That second part about time is often left out of explanations of power, but very important to understand.

For example, if you can help someone to feel safe to share personal things with you within 20 minutes of meeting and talking with them, but your partner can help that same someone feel just as safe the moment they make eye contact, then in the domain of helping people to feel safe, your partner has substantially more power.

There are thus two ways to increase your power:

1. Make a bigger difference.

2. Make a difference in less time.

Of course, if you can nail both of these at once, then you can increase your power exponentially.

And if you want to create financial prosperity, then this would be a great idea, because the fact of the matter is:

People pay for power.

In the same way that you pay the power company for the power that comes through the outlet in the wall in your house, all the money you pay for everything in life is in direct reciprocation for the difference that thing or service makes for you and in the amount of time it makes that difference.

At my next free monthly talk, I am going to be diving deep into how you can increase your power in ways that will help you to create financial prosperity by making you more money.

I’ll break down numerous approaches to making a bigger difference than you are already making, no matter the industry or type of work you do. I’ll also share different ways of thinking about and approaching how to make the differences you make in much less time.
