Your Hidden Advantage: The Power of Process

Change your thinking, your performance, and your business…forever.

Phil will make you smarter. Not only is he inspiring, his knowledge of process design and Lean thinking – combined with his ability to translate that knowledge into specific actions – will benefit your business for years to come. (Janice Wismer, Global VP HR, McCain’s Foods, Canada)

The Executive Committee Kingston (TEC Kingston) is pleased to announce that we are hosting a ZOOM Speaker Event on Thursday, May 28th from 1pm to 3pm (registration details below). Our guest is Phil Kirby.

During his 12 years in operations management with a multi-national electrical manufacturer, Phil turned losing plants into rising stars. With over twenty years as an Executive Coach, Phil has helped companies of all sizes – from SME’s to Fortune 500’s – discover their hidden advantage and save millions of dollars.

What makes Phil different is that he’s been there, done it, and gotten his hands dirty. Phil knows how to achieve incredible, measurable – and sustainable–performance improvement results that engage the hearts and souls of employees. No matter what business.

Phil has worked with some of the world’s most dynamic organizations, including: Canadian Tire, Bell, WestJet, Nissan, Siemens, AstraZeneca, Celestica, Passport Canada, Tim Hortons, Ingersoll Rand, Scotiabank, and many more.

Presentation

One might assume from the current commentary from experts, think tanks, and business schools, that from a business perspective creating new products and services has been discounted when someone (somewhere in the world) can quickly copy them (by cheaper labour, or other means like technology espionage etc.) or can digitally disrupt their usage. It seems only those creating platforms (Google, Facebook, Uber etc.) have enduring value. So how to prosper and grow in this environment?

Phil proposes you do so through the Power of Process–create your own unique approach by seeking profit through internal factors–specifically your business processes. We need to move beyond talking about processes just from an organizational perspective to understanding them from a business perspective. The Power of Process is the ability to improve results by changing the means to acquire those results, a shift from managing objectives and goals to managing means–where the results of properly managed means are profit.

In today’s fast-paced global economy, outperforming your competition is harder than ever. It seems everyone is trying to build a better mousetrap. A stronger widget. A smaller product. Or, they’re hyping their service’s benefits, its price, its guarantees. To outperform your competition, you need a sustainable differentiation. You need to create more value than the competitor or the same value at less cost. You need to develop and operate business processes that are both more reliable and more agile than “them”…essentially processes that are fast, flexible and cost effective.

What if you had a competitive edge that could change everything? Imagine a hidden advantage that doubles your productivity, triples your capacity, and changes the way you do business.

Let Phil show you that your business sits on a goldmine—a hidden wealth of treasure—if only you knew where to look and what to do about it. He’ll introduce you to a whole new way of thinking and a whole new level of business performance.

Registration is open to members of the Kingston and area business community. Click here to register for this event.
