Power Posing, Performance and Leadership

Power Posing, Performance and Leadership

As a leadership development coach, I spend a great deal of time helping leaders improve their performance skills. One part of this process is mastering emotional control...I know, for most people, the idea of mastering emotional control is a contradiction in terms! For leaders, who are often called to perform, emotional control is a huge part of their success. For years, I have referenced the work of Amy Cuddy, an American social psychologist at Harvard, whose work on nonverbal behavior provides insights and techniques for those interested in using postural stance, for example, to influence the self and others.

If you are a leader interested in improving your performances (presentations, speeches, meetings, negotiations, etc.), read the interview with Dr. Cuddy using the link below:

Been doing a lot of research around EQ lately. Leaders who are aware of their emotions and able to manage them are truly an asset to any organization/team. Thanks for sharing Kim!
