The Power of Perception: Transforming Stress into Success with Tula
Imagine the first time you felt true fear—the night you slept alone. That unsettling sensation can shape our reality and embed deep patterns in our psyche. At Tula, we transform these experiences, turning stress into success and unlocking your true potential.
Emotional Story: The Birth of Tula
During the beginning of the pandemic, I was at my most stressed. I was gripped by anxiety daily, and worry impacted my productivity and hope. This experience was much like that first night alone, where fear and anxiety were my constant companions. It was then that I decided to take wellness into my own hands. I developed a practice to silence negative mental chatter and the monkey mind and gradually identify and remove patterns related to anxiety and depression.
The framework of Tula was born shortly after, becoming an effective practice to reduce the influence of stress on the mind and body. I have not experienced anxiety or worry since February 2021. Clearing those patterns has given me the power to move effectively through my goals instead of being disabled by them.
The Mechanics of Fear and Stress
Fear is a powerful emotion that can shape our perceptions and responses to various situations throughout our lives. Imagine your first night sleeping in a room alone. Your imagination runs wild, and fear grips you. That first night alone, "scared" becomes a powerful identifier of a new emotion. This emotion, triggered by imagination and perception, paints a vivid picture of fear and terror. Over time, this initial experience of fear can evolve into chronic stress responses.
This word gets hooked to other experiences with the same original emotional content. In other words, the single experience of the word "scared," by identifying with the word, remains etched in the mind and body as a psychosomatic experience that is then applied to future experiences.
Riding a bike for the first time triggers the same scared response, and again, the first time, swimming or giving a report in front of a class. "Scared" is applied to every experience because the mind is identified with the word.
Adjectives Program the Mind
Adjectives program the mind: Negative triggers, like fear, activate our stress response, while positive triggers release dopamine, creating a sense of happiness and reward. This dynamic between stress and reward is at the core of our human experience, influencing our mental and physical health. The mind is programmatic, much like AI, requiring a prompt to act. We relate to the definition of a word, which programs our behavior—words like Happy, Joy, Bliss evoke euphoria and buoyancy when applied as an affirmation, as in "I am happy," while words like Anxious, Hate, and Angry trigger stress and evoke discomfort.
Psychosomatic Energy Response: Our Emotional Trigger
The stress response creates what we call a psychosomatic energy response—a connection between the mind (psyche) and body (soma). When stress becomes encoded in our nervous system, it distorts the natural flow of energy. Imagine the nerves in our body as clear channels through which energy flows freely. Stress and trauma create blockages, leading to distorted, sluggish energy flow, impacting our mental clarity and physical health.
In Vedic science, this energy flow is described using three terms:

Removing Psychosomatic Energy Blocks
Tula aims to identify and remove these psychosomatic energy blocks. This involves understanding and releasing the limiting beliefs and behavior patterns that have become ingrained in our psyche. These patterns, called vritties in Vedic science, are low-frequency fields emitted from our nerves, often resulting from past traumas or chronic stress.
For instance, if you were bitten by a dog as a child, the fear and stress from that experience create a vibration that triggers a fear response every time you see a dog, even decades later. Similarly, stress at work can create vritties that affect how we perceive and react to our environment, colleagues, and tasks.
The Impact on Business Leaders and Professionals
Understanding and managing these energy flows is crucial for business leaders and professionals. Chronic stress and unaddressed psychosomatic energy blocks can lead to burnout, reduced productivity, strained relationships within teams, and failing health.
