The Power of a Pause

The Power of a Pause

Amid hustle culture, it is no surprise, that speed garners a lot more applause than a pause.

However, as I’ve immersed myself deeper in the art of coaching, my adoration of the pause has only been further cemented. Whether it is about making room for silence during a coaching session, or in life, it always leads to awareness, which can then lead to more intentional action.

And for those of you who have already worked with me, you know my motto:

Awareness before Action.

I chose to become a coach to create impact.

To make this possible, I went back to school, put in the hours, got the grades, received the mentorship, and benefited from the hours of practice.

Only after that did I launch my business – Butterfly Effect Coaching.

In only 8 months of opening my doors, I coached for around 150 hours with clients across the globe and also received my ICF certification. All this – with zero marketing or strategy.

And what meant most to me was the impact it could create in such a short time. You can read some of the testimonials on the website. And a few of my favorite success stories are here:

-???????One of my young clients started writing consistently on LinkedIn (after finding her voice) and is now one of the known creators on the platform

-???????A single mother quit her job that made her feel torn between home and work and found a better one. She is bringing the best version of herself to both aspects of her life today

-???????A client who lacked confidence is now speaking on stage at multiple events and has embraced the art of networking in her own unique style

-???????A talented woman was able to negotiate a 50% salary increase and evolved scope of work

-???????An ambitious but burnt-out woman regained work-life balance and strengthened the relationship with her husband.

These are only five of many that come to mind, but they showed me that my dream of creating real impact can be a reality!

So, if all is good, why stop right now?

I am not stopping at all. I am pausing.

I want to spend some time to look into the impact that has been created and get intentional about how I want to expand the same. I’ve had to say no to many prospects in the last few months because of bandwidth. There is only so much time I have, and I want to make sure I am able to use it in a way that adds maximum value to the highest number of people.

I also have some exciting personal adventures to pay heed to during these next 3 months – it’s time for maternity leave ??. And all of this together, calls for restructuring.

And so, I am talking one step back for now, so that we can soon take 10 ahead together.

You will be the first to know once I’m back!

In the interim if you have anything to share with me, drop me a note on LinkedIn or on [email protected] or the website.

Miss me? I know I will miss you.
