Whatever the reason for taking a career break, whether mental, physical, or burnout, in the end, you always come out stronger, better, and more focused.
I never thought as a Creative Director, I would take a career break. Winning pitches, presenting my creative campaigns to clients, and securing business for the agency—everything was going well. But somewhere down the line, I knew I had to re-evaluate my career. I felt like I was running non-stop on a hamster wheel!
So I did it! I took a break. I took a step back—a step back for a monumental leap ahead!
Now, I know what I have to focus on.
The break helped me rejuvenate my creative energy, set the highest career goals, and, most importantly, improve my well-being.
My time away was filled with upskilling, traveling, reading books, and taking courses. This enriched my perspective and renewed my passion for creativity.
