The Power of One, What do you think about my latest Art Project 4 Lewisham Borough of Culture?

Oh Yes.. I have some other extraordinary project that has popped up in my head for Lewisham Borough of Culture Next Year.. The Project I am working on is an art installation called " The Power of One " The concept is a group scene on Deptford Broadway that will include 5 Women and 4 Men whose activism in history from slavery, To women's Votes to Queer history have not just shaped Lewisham, but whose bravery as One standing up for Social Justice and Civil rights had a global impact, this will be interactive, so it will have space with just two feet which is what anyone launching a campaign or wanting to bring change can stand and through mirrors, it would appear you are one of 100s, you will also be able to fit a banner to the posts that 2 of the characters will have so you can add your own banners such as Black History Month or Pride and one of the Characters will be carrying a banner that will allow you to attach your banner, this art Community project will also have bar codes so you can scan and here the story of each Character and their importance in OUR history such as Disabled Suffregette Rosa May Billinghurst who after being thrown from her wheel chair on her first march , turned her wheel chair into a battle machine to break through police lines to win votes for women, whilst also including Deptford Slave Olaudah Equiano who through the power of learning to write used this power to be a leader of the movement that would alternatively abolish slavery , others in the group will include , Felicia Brown the only Western Woman to be killed in the Spanish Civil war who passing herself of as a man was only discovered to be femail when she was shot and killed whilst carrying a comrade from the frontline ,others include Fred Copeman , Wat Tyler as leader the Peasants revolt of 1381 that fought a major battle in Deptford and Michael An Gof who lead the The Uprising of 1497. The idea is that history and Heritage are often shaped and started by just one person this installation if we can get it funded as part of Lewisham Borough of Culture will make our HISTORY relevant NOW, inspire others and show the work the importance of Working Class Hero and that we ALL however ordinary we think we are can truly become extraordinary when we get angry and with events Power of One!
