This week we finished reading a great book by Peter Legge?(You Can If You Believe You Can)?and we wanted to share an excerpt from Peter's book. Peter gives us a great reminder about the powerful difference we can make in the world around us.
Some years ago, an Eastern Airlines jet that was too heavy with ice, crashed shortly after take-off from National Airport at Washington, DC and plunged into the icy Potomac River. Many died in the crash, others swam for their lives in the freezing water. In the dark water, it was a scene from a cold hell.
A man named?Aaron Williams, driving to make his early shift on time, came across the horrific crash scene, assessed opportunity and dived into the Potomac. He pulled out one passenger, then another, then a third and a fourth, then plunged in again. Overcome by cold, exhaustion, whatever, Aaron Williams never came back a fifth time. The miracle is that because of what Aaron Williams did on that day, four people lived!?He?died,?their?lives went on.
Where do you place him and his individual effort in the scheme of things??I would say without a doubt that he's up there with every hero in history.?Do you have to die to change things? Absolutely not, but change can happen at the edge of a frozen river, it can happen the moment you read this!
One morning just before sunrise, an old man walked along the beach and every few steps, he stopped to pick up a starfish and toss it back into the sea. A young jogger watched him for a while and eventually said, "What in the world are you doing?"
"I'm picking up stranded starfish and returning them to the sea," said the old man. "If I don't, when the sun comes up, they will die."
The young man laughed, "That's ridiculous," he said. "There are thirty miles of beach and a million starfish ahead of you. How can you possibly expect to make a difference?"
The old man took a couple more paces and stopped to pick up yet another sand-covered starfish. With all the strength he could muster, he sent it in an arc toward the rising sun and the cool of the sea. Then he turned to the young man, smiled and said:?"It made a difference to that one, didn't it?"

If it has to be, then it's up to me. If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
Others have said: "It is better to light one candle than curse the darkness."
Of course, you can make a difference. To your own life, to the lives of others!?
If your business needs marketing that works, give us a call. We're here to help!
Be blessed this week.
