CONNECTIONS: The story of Joseph(Part 1)

When Joseph was in prison he made connections with two men who worked close to the Pharaoh (A King of Egypt).

While in prison, Joseph provided his service for free to them (interpretation of dreams) and asked them to remember him when they were freed from prison and got back to working for the king because after all he was falsely accused and put in prison. The Chief Butler(one of the 2 men who were in prison) indeed remembered Joseph when he was restored to his position in the palace. He told Pharaoh about Joseph and his abilities and because Pharaoh was in need of a dream interpretation, he called Joseph to interpret his dream. Pharaoh was so impressed that he made him second in command of all Egypt.

Now what am I saying here? I'm trying to emphasize the importance of CONNECTIONS and power of NETWORKING! If Joseph didn't make connections with those guys who were in prison, who worked for Pharaoh, do you think Pharaoh would've known about him?

No probably not because it is estimated that the whole population of Egypt at the time of the exodus was between 2 and 5 million. But Joseph was known about because of the connection he made in prison that helped him to end up being second in command of all Egypt though he wasn't an Egyptian.

We see people these days despising Networking Events or Session and choosing to stay home yet they complain about poverty, about small salaries, about all the things they go through. They don't know that they could meet someone in those sessions who can help them get closer to the president or someone who might be in need of their skillset or service.

Take advantage of these sessions, more so that most of them are free. You will meet someone there who will one day say to the President "I KNOW A FRIEND WHO KNOWS A FRIEND."
