The Power Of Networking

The other day I started emptying out my wallet and found that I had over 30 different business cards, that I have collected over the last couple months. Every single person was from a different industry and it showed me how powerful networking can be.
To be honest without using my network skills, we would not have the WORLD'S FIRST VIDEO MAGAZINE.
A 1 minute conversation with someone has changed my life!
Thats right within a 1 minute conversation with someone I met at a networking event, I was given the vital information that makes GUAP Magazine so revolutionary.
Through networking and collecting these cards, I now also have a network of individuals I can call on for help or work within any of these fields. It could have possibly taken very long to do this through the the internet (or not because of the power of social media).
However nothing beats that personal interaction. Its harder to forget someone in person.
How do you network you may ask? Well my first line usually goes something like this “You look creative, what do you do” - Cheesy but it works LOL. Its all about starting that conversation, once started the conversation just flows naturally and thats it you have another person in your network.
Your network is your net worth. So make sure you stay in your network.
Send an email each day to someone asking about the important things going on in their life, or send a relevant article or even just a follow up email. Its things like this that build long term relationships. (you can do this with people you meet on the internet too!, its actually easier online). So go out (or search online) and start speaking to some new people.
Every Introduction is a new opportunity.
