The Power of Networking

INW 2025 - Beyond Boundaries

Celebrating the Success of International Networking Week with BNI Ireland:

“Go the extra mile, it’s never crowded” Dr. Wayne D. Dyer

Reflecting on an awesome week of Networking, I’m proud to be part of BNI Ireland. Our members are a shining example of how trust, relationships, collaboration and accountability, can lead to powerful results, both in our professional and personal lives.

International Networking Week is always a highlight in the BNI calendar, but this year, BNI Ireland took things to a whole new level. Members along with some of our international guests went the extra mile, hosting engaging and impactful in-person and on-line events throughout the week.

Our amazing Irish members went beyond limits, beyond boundaries, and beyond expectations, embracing the power of networking to drive real business growth.

A Gathering of Business Leaders from Around the World:

One of the most energising events of the week was a cross-chapter meeting at the Townhouse Hotel in Naas, Kildare. Over 60+ BNI members from across Ireland, along with visitors from the UK, Belgium, America, and South Africa, gathered to share insights, build relationships, and pass genuine referral business opportunities.

These meetings weren’t just about networking—they were about learning, collaboration, and developing strategies for growth in 2025 and beyond. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in breakout sessions covering sales strategies, power team discussions, and how to go beyond in their businesses this year. The insights shared were thought-provoking, inspiring members to push past their comfort zones and strive for even greater success.

Key Takeaways - Insights and Strategies for Growth:

Throughout the week’s events, members engaged in discussions that challenged them to think bigger and act bolder. Some of the key questions explored included:

  • What bold goals are members setting for their businesses this year?
  • What strategies can be implemented to enhance every member’s BNI journey?
  • How can deeper relationships be built beyond surface-level connections?
  • What BNI fundamental can be mastered to uncover new opportunities for innovation and growth?
  • How can collaboration within BNI be improved to drive more success?
  • What specific goals should be set for both personal and chapter development?

The answers to these questions weren’t just theoretical; they were practical, actionable, and designed to help every BNI member take their business to new heights.

A Huge Thank You to Our Leadership teams:

Events like these don’t happen without strong leadership. A special thank you to our national ADC’s Ciaran Murray, Thomas Crotty, Eugene Donovan and Hugh Magee, along with their teams of DC’s, for their enthusiastic participation throughout the week.

Thanks also to the leadership top tables and chapter members for their valuable input and insights during our various event. Special mentions must go to amazing people like Catriona Byrne, President of the Millennium Chapter, for their outstanding efforts in organising the week’s events. The dedication of our leaders to fostering connections and creating opportunities for BNI members embodies the true spirit of Givers Gain?.

The Power of Relationships in Business:

As International Networking Week unfolded, one theme remained consistent: the power of relationships in today’s business world has never been more important. Every handshake, every conversation, and every referral represent a step towards growth, not just for individuals, but for the entire BNI community.

Networking is more than just exchanging business cards; it’s about building meaningful relationships, supporting one another, and creating opportunities that transform businesses and lives. At BNI, we see this in action every day, and International Networking Week was a testament to the impact of our global network.

Looking Ahead - Continuing to Go Beyond:

As we reflect on the success of this year’s International Networking Week, one thing is clear: this is just the beginning. With the momentum we’ve built, 2025 will be a year of even greater collaboration, innovation, and success.

To every member who participated, shared insights, and contributed to the discussions, thank you! Your commitment to growth and your willingness to step outside of your comfort zone are what make BNI such a powerful force in the business world.

As BNI’s CEO Mary Thompson - CFE always says, "Comfort is the enemy of growth." So, let’s continue to push boundaries, embrace opportunities, and go beyond together. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead for BNI Ireland and our global BNI community.
