The Power of Missing
In life, sometimes the best way to win is by choosing not to react to everything that comes our way. The idea of "missing" can be a powerful tool for success.
Take a boxing match, for example. The best strategy isn’t always about taking every hit or trying to knock out your opponent right away. It’s about dodging their punches. When you miss their hits, you save your energy and frustrate your opponent. This makes them more likely to make mistakes, and you can use that to your advantage.
The same applies to life. People might say hurtful things or do things to upset us. But how we respond is what matters. If we don’t let their negative words or actions get to us, we stay focused on our goals. Instead of fighting back or taking everything personally, we can keep moving forward. By choosing to “miss” their negativity, we protect our peace and energy.
In both boxing and life, the power of missing is not about avoiding problems—it’s about staying calm, staying focused, and using challenges to our advantage. When we choose to miss the negativity, we give ourselves the chance to win.

1 个月Nice article Venkatesh Narayanan. As humans, we instinctively react to negativity. To build on this, it’s also important to know when to respond - focusing on areas where the most value can be gained. In the boxing analogy, this is like conserving energy while your opponent tires themselves out, then striking for maximum impact

1 个月Great article Venkatesh Narayanan . I liked the boxing match analogy you have given. It's true. We need not react to everyone and everything. Being silent is more powerful that replying to them. Power of Silence should not be underestimated.
