As women, we often juggle so much—careers, health, family, and personal goals. Finding time for mindfulness can feel like just another item on a never-ending to-do list. But what if mindfulness didn’t have to be a big commitment? What if it could fit into those small gaps in our day?

I used to think that if I couldn’t carve out 20 minutes for meditation, I wasn’t doing mindfulness right. But then I discovered the concept of micro-moments—those brief, intentional pauses that help us reconnect with ourselves even amidst the chaos.

Eckhart Tolle, in The Power of Now, reminds us that the present moment is all we truly have. This resonates deeply, especially when life pulls us in a million directions. Whether it’s a few deep breaths before a meeting or savouring a quiet cup of tea, these micro-moments help me stay grounded and present, no matter how hectic my day gets.

James Clear’s Atomic Habits also inspired me to see the value in small, consistent practices. These tiny mindfulness habits—taking a moment to breathe, noticing the warmth of the sun on my skin, or even just being fully present with my loved ones—add up over time. They’ve become my secret weapon for maintaining mental clarity and peace.
