Power of Meditation
Meditation is going within. It is process of withdrawing from outer world and focusing on your inner world. Initially when you try to meditate for the first time then your mind oscillates between past and future. Thoughts dominate your mediation. You either get thoughts of something which has happen in past and which has hurt you or of some anxiety relating to future. However, the key is to keep meditating, to ignore all these thoughts, do not get stuck or get carried away of any of these thoughts. When you keep practicing mediation every day at same time, at same place in a peaceful atmosphere, then over a period of time the restless of your mind reduces and hence you are in position to experience stillness for few seconds. Start mediation with 5 minutes and then increase it gradually. Be the observer. Do not make efforts to concentrate as concentration will happen naturally over a period of time. Initially you can start with guided mediations available on you tube or by playing light music but over a period of time you should mediate without playing any music. You focus on your breathe-coming in and going out. Mediation is process of staying in present moment. Initially this activity may seem to be very boring or not giving any benefit but over a period of time you shall experience lot of advantages of practicing this. Early morning is ideal time to practice mediation empty stomach and after doing exercises. Sometimes you may feel that you are going to sleep in mediation. When your body is tired and you didn’t have sufficient sleep then this is bound to happen. Hence it is better to mediate after having sufficient sleep.
Advantages of Doing meditation:
1) Concentration: It helps to develop the ability to increase your concentration capacity and stay focus on the task given. When restless of mind gets reduce by constant practice you will be in position to focus on task by having undivided attention on the same and there by increase your concentration capacity.
2) Self-management: It helps to you to understanding yourself in better manner and hence you can manage yourself in better manner. If a person can understand his strength and limitations then he can work on improving his limitations and make efforts to encash on his strength.
3) Creating Positivity and reducing stress: Mediation helps to understand what bothers you most and can you handle it in better manner. It creates positivity in you by bringing positive thoughts and by replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts. This helps to reduce and manage your stress in better manner.
4) Become sensitive towards your environment and others: Meditation helps you to become sensitive towards your environment and also towards others. This sensitivity helps you to understand others in better manner and thereby manage the relationship in better manner.
5) Improves Decision making: Mediation helps you to develop your six sense and thereby you are in position to hear your inner invoice when you become still in mediation for few seconds. This inner voice gives guidance to you and thereby helps you to select the right alternative and thereby make the correct decisions. This is a very important advantage of mediation as it helps to overcome confuse state of mind.
6) Developing Emotional intelligence: EI: It is the ability to accurately perceive your own and other’s emotions. It is ability to manage your own and other’s emotions. When you meditate regularly you develop ability over a period of time to go beyond the logical brain and hear the emotions of your mind and thereby manage them in better manner. You stop overreacting to a situation after practicing mediation regularly.
7) Makes you more creative: In today’s challenging time innovation, thinking out of the box is the need of hour to compete in better manner. Meditation helps to make you more creative as it develops your right brain. Mediation puts you in relax state and creativity gets developed only when you are relaxed.
8) Developing your Spiritual ability: Many people like to balance their materialistic life with spiritual life. Spirituality is about evolving your soul and experiencing enlightenment. Mediation is the first step in this journey. Regular practice of medication shall help to have many spiritual out of body experience.
9) Power to Manifest your goals: The concept of secret States that whatever you Think positively upon subject, feel about subject, Act upon subject and imagined upon a subject shall manifest in your life.
In other words, whatever subject you focus on shall become big in your life and you shall attract similar things relating to that subject in your life as like attracts like. (Law of Attraction) A Person who awake up in the morning with feeling I shall get late to office actually attracts chain of events which shall make him late at work. Mediation helps to insert positive thoughts in your mind, feel those thoughts, visualize thoughts. Above process shall ensure that your thoughts are manifested.
10) Developing Healing powers through mediation: Healing is a natural process wherein Pure energy that is flowing all around us is taken from the Universe by the healer and directed at the energy body of the patient to cure the disease at physical level as well as at mental level. 11) Expressing gratitude: Expressing gratitude to divine for what already have helps to get more. No man can get more if he does not acknowledge and appreciate what he has. Mediation also helps to pray to god in better manner and express gratitude to him as it increases your concentration ability and creates positivity in you.
12) Mediation helps to reduce or overcome fear: Fear is created in human being only when his mind is thinking about future or relating his thoughts to any past incidence. During mediation you stay in present moment and thereby it can help you to reduce fear or at least forgot it for some time.
13) Meditation improves your immune system: Every human being is an energy being. Either you take energy from some one or give energy to someone. Mediation helps you to generate positive energy in you which helps to build your immune system.
14) Create discipline in yourself: Meditation helps to reduce the restlessness of mind and thereby discipline it. It makes you more aware and thereby helps to make mind still and thereby develop discipline in you.
