What is a Level 10 Meeting?
A Level 10 Meeting is a meeting that starts on time, ends on time, follows a specific agenda, and meets on the same day at the same time each week. The reason it is a "Level 10" is because at the end of the meeting you always rate it on a scale of 1-10. The whole point of rating a meeting is to look for areas to improve and check for alignment for the Leadership Team. The goal is to get it to a Level 10! A productive meeting is both efficient and effective. You must have both. Efficient: doing things right. You are on track. You are focused. You have a clear agenda that you follow. You have a specific, simple, and practical way you problem solve and tackle issues. You move with purpose. Effective: this is doing the right things! You have clear objectives and are strategic about when and how you talk about important things. You walk in wisdom, are open and honest, and highly functional and cohesive as a team. You debate and discuss and decide on the right solution for the greater good of the organization! You solve problems at the root level, the real issue, and you solve it in such a way that it goes away forever! You have a method for tracking all the issues and challenges you talk about and know what "solved" looks like. You never lose a problem. It gets tracked somehow some way. It is either done in the next seven days or it is discussed again as to why it is not getting solved.

Who attends a Level 10 Meeting?
Ideally it is the Leadership Team of the company. Once the Leadership Team gets clear, confident, and competent on how to run a Level 10 Meeting, it is rolled out to the other major departments of the company. Those department heads begin to run the Level 10 Meeting. The Leadership Team gets to decide along with the department heads how often to have the Level 10 Meeting. The goal is to have the entire company running Level 10 Meetings all the same way. The result? This will help in streamlining and simplifying getting the right problems solved in the right way at the root level for the greater good of the company so that they go away forever! It also allows for increased alignment, stronger trust, and empowering a culture of accountability!
