The Power of Knowledge: Unlocking Success Through Books and Experience ????

?? During my time as a Computer Engineering student, the pursuit of good grades was a common goal for many of us. However, there were a few who also prioritised gaining a deep understanding of concepts and sought practical applications. I vividly recall the transformative impact of guest lectures by professionals from renowned companies and workshops at prestigious institutions like IIT. I vividly recall how these experiences fuelled my curiosity, motivating me to seek knowledge beyond the confines of examinations.

?? We were advised by both seniors and few teachers that if we desired good grades, relying on local publishers' solved papers from past university exams would suffice. However few Teachers suggested that, if our goal was to truly expand our knowledge, we needed to embrace the best books available on the subjects we wished to explore. While many of us opted for the former approach, a few adventurous souls chose the latter.

?? In my case, one of my subjects was problem-solving and programming concepts. I decided to dive into "Problem Solving and Programming Concepts" by Maureen Sprankle, and it turned out to be an invaluable resource. This book not only helped me enhance my problem-solving skills in areas such as general programming concepts, programming structure, logic structure, decision making, data structures, DBMS, OOP, program design, and software architecture, but its influence has also extended to shaping the products and software solutions I work on today.

?? Equipped with the knowledge acquired from the book, I find myself able to envision rough architectures in my mind as soon as someone presents a problem statement or requirements. This confidence allows me to enthusiastically agree to undertake new projects. Furthermore, I strive to instill the same mindset in my team at Intelligaia, emphasising the importance of understanding what needs to be solved and exploring various approaches to determine the best one. This approach not only helps us grow but also lays the foundation for solid knowledge.

?? It is often said that there are no shortcuts to success and experience, but I firmly believe that reading good books can propel us forward on our journeys. By applying the knowledge gained from these books in the real world and learning from both the authors' experiences and our own observations, we can achieve remarkable results.
