The Power of Kindness: How Pehchaan the Street School Transforms Lives with Passion

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

While reading this beautiful saying, there is sometimes a thought that arises: in the race of success and in the chase of personal objectives, really most activities take pity and empathy in a backseat. This ever-accelerating world seldom gives us time to extend a helping hand. Yes, it is only kindness that possesses the magic to heal, fill the gulf, and give a sense of belongingness.

?In today's world, this act of kindness is gracefully carried by Pehchaan the Street School. Pehchaan The Street School

Pehchaan, The Street School, was started by Akash Tandon, along with his peers Kanika Narula, Sam Pillai, Leejo Joy, and Monica Vamdar, in the year 2015. With 5 volunteers and 10 children, it now has 2000+ active volunteers and 5000 + intern working actively to make a positive impact on the future of this country.

It combines a concern against the inequalities fostered by the formal education system and integrates the Pehchan the Street School students into the mainstream. This education instilled in the founders' excellent social responsibility that education becomes the path to breaking poverty's fetters. They believe that education must be an opportunity for every child regardless of his socioeconomic status.

Educate, counsel and inspire the purpose of the underprivileged children, either out of school or without proper provision.

Creating a safe and encouraging space for young minds to encourage lofty dreams and build brighter futures. Recently, Pehchaan The Street School formed exciting collaborations with well-known personalities to attract more attention to its work and inspire others to join its mission. Pehchaan The Street School does not come up in the comfort of an office or an experienced educator's head. They emerged people who would bring change in the world. Looking at the children, they thought of giving meaningful life to underprivileged children. The plan was pretty simple: if children cannot go inside a classroom, then the classroom comes to them. Thus, they established makeshift classrooms in parks, under flyovers and on footpaths.

Most children in the streets want to learn and take in everything around them, but the lack of resources to nurture their curiosity about knowledge and learning often keeps them from being successful. This is where the classroom is very essential. Pehchaan The Street School has been impacting lives as it has been working in various domains paving the path for a change.
