There are several types of keywords targeting let's go over them:
Broad Match
Ads may show on searches that are related to your keyword and similar to your keyword.
"Phrase Match"
Ads may show on searches that include the meaning of your keyword
[Exact Match]
Ads may show on searches that have the same meaning or same intent as the keyword.
Now that we know the 3 different type of keyword matches, depending on the business you have you can select the right keyword match for your targeting.
Sometimes having more than one match type can also be a testing phase where it can help you determine which match is helping you reaching the most clicks and conversion rate.
