The Power of Intention
How I chose to set the right intention that shapes my day
I slept earlier yesterday. I woke up in the morning yet feeling not getting enough rest. It was heavy to lift my body up from the bed.
I set my today’s intention before I slept: first thing I arrive in the office I must complete preparation for 2 meetings, then I have back-to-back meetings and a training to conduct before ending the day.
While wake up lying on bed feeling tired, I suddenly recalled my intention. It triggered my fear of not able to complete my work before meeting. It also immediately cleared my mind shifting my focus from “1 more minute” to “get up now”.
Sometimes fear helps overcome procrastination.
The clarity of mind stays throughout the day (with the help of 2 shots of coffee in the morning, state management and breathing). I anchored on it for the meetings and training.
Meetings went well and we reached our expected outcome. I was also able to carry my energy to conduct the training and having much interaction with the audience.
Now, ended my work and I completed all the work that I planned for today. For things to happen, it must first happen in our mind.
1 lesson I take away is: set that intention that strong enough to kill the fear, procrastination, distraction, and restore the physical body stamina.
