The Power of Having a Don’t Do list
Having a "don't do" list and learning to say no can be incredibly valuable for individuals, both personally and professionally. Here are a few reasons why:
1.?????????????????Prioritization: By knowing what not to do or what to say no to, individuals can focus on the things that truly matter to them. This helps them to prioritize their time and energy in a more efficient and effective way.
2.??????????????????Reducing stress: When individuals take on too much or try to do everything, it can lead to burnout and stress. By having a "don't do" list and learning to say no, individuals can reduce their workload and alleviate some of that stress.
3.??????????????????Boundaries: Saying no and having a "don't do" list can help individuals establish healthy boundaries for themselves. This can be especially important in personal relationships and work situations where individuals may feel pressured to take on more than they can handle.

5.??????????????????Having a “don’t do” list makes it easy to say no and help make decisions easier.?EG – I do not yet golf (note the wording – I can always change if I want).?So when asked, it is easy to say no thanks.
Overall, having a "don't do" list and learning to say no can help individuals lead a more focused, fulfilling, and balanced life (although I am not sure I fully believe in a balanced life but that is another blog entry topic).
I have a “don’t do” list and it works much better for me than its close cousin which I am trying to get better at – the saying no…or ignoring (which seems rude to me but I do it sometimes to save time).
