Power of a Handshake
The Lions have had a stellar couple of years. From 0-16 to Division Playoff to potentially clinching the Division this weekend. A team who's never even been to the Superbowl. Where chants of their QB can be heard@ various Events across the country.

My wife and I attended their road game@ 49ers. Which was a pretty cool experience. Since it’s an outdoor stadium, it was definitely a little colder than I thought it was going to be in the South Bay. The 49er’s play in Santa Clarita, which is somewhat near San Jose, CA.
In going. we wanted to pick up a few new Lions shirts. Being we live in California. to the mall we went in order to find them.
A late Sunday morning we strolled into the mall. It was a little eerie. There weren't many people around. Almost abandoned.
Which leads me to thinking about showing up in- person, in general. Fewer people in the office. Fewer people on job sites. Fewer people showing up.

This Face-to-Face interaction is lost on most. Or should I say the value of being Face-to-Face. You gain so much more by doing things for people. Showing them how much you care& being there for them. especially when times are tough. In today's climate. don't underestimate the power of showing up in person. The impact you'll have is immense.
I know that the times I show up for people close to me how much they appreciate it.
Those people you continue to see in person you’ll form stronger bonds with and improve the relationship. While possible to foster at distance, it’s always better in person.
I even found this in going to the game. We sat next to season ticket holders for the 49ers. Luckily they were happy to see Detroit going all the way while their team hasn’t had the greatest year. By the end of the night it was fist bumps all around cause people were pretty cool with each other. It was truly a great time.
And just shows me that showing up in person and being there for people is important. It renews my faith in people. It shows me just how good they are.
So if you haven’t gotten out and seen people here recently, now is your time. It’s your time to show others you care. Trust me, it’ll be worth it.

1 个月I found that showing up doesn’t mean they will show up for you! You can show up at sometimes house, give them the much needed hugs and spread your love, but when You need it the most no one shows up with a hug for you! Remember, just because you spread your love and put your heart into something, doesn’t mean they will show up for you when you need them. Sometimes you just need to stop doing anything and show up for yourself because you are worthy of being there for yourself.
