The Power of a Great Trade Show Tchotchke

We all have our tchotchke vendors. Mine is Patrick Ahern. And unless we have a stash, we all contact them when we have a new trade show (remember those?) where we will exhibit.

Some marketing professionals agonize over what to give away at trade shows or other events.

What is germane to my product or service and has shelf life?

New pens?

Refrigerator magnets?

A bag or tote?

Maybe I will just have a giant candy dish...

At least 10 years ago I was at an event where Onvia (now part of GovWin) gave away a manicure set in a nice hard plastic/resin box.

I took one, and I still use it, as does my wife. It is on the coffee table in our living room and gets regular use.

Although Onvia's name has long since rubbed off the box, I remember who provide this.

I have collected and saved tchockies from tradeshows for 30 years.
