The Power of Goal Setting

Goal setting is a key part of creating a fulfilled life. We need to create clarity about what we want and what we are willing to do to get it. We define fulfillment as: being satisfied due to fully developing one’s abilities and character to fulfill one’s potential.
Sometimes this feels like happiness and joy. Other times it feels uncomfortable or daunting because it requires doing what is right for us even when it is difficult.

Through this process we become aware that we always have a choice and to create boundaries where we need them. We also need to be clear about where we want to grow and improve without being overly critical or abusive to ourselves. The key to fulfillment is knowing that few accomplishments come without a price. We make choices every day. The important skill is knowing that we are choosing our mindset, how we use our time, and the relationships we want to invest in.
