Power of Flagship Events in a Global Organization

Hey there! This is a first... and I begin by stating that it has been an overwhelming experience and demands to be shared. Let me begin by thanking my colleagues and extended teams who remained instrumental in planning AND execution of our latest project.

It's a great feeling to know that colleagues are committed to a common cause and when the alignment is appreciated, it is motivating. This is a different level of motivation I'm talking about. Morale is usually underrated. However, it's much important to shape character of individuals, teams and organization altogether.

Since this is a personal expression I begin with pointing out that the personally it has been a great learning experience to work closely with the leadership and corporate team within my organization. We have seen over years that doing the same thing differently each year makes it more and more intense, more complicated at times and more demanding (to say the least). Challenges posed are not for individuals but for each team member. Newer the team, more thrilling it gets :). 

The most recent activities for us have been 'new' and 'innovative' and I feel proud to say that our company has been at the forefront of innovation in the business. Similarly, the culture we have shared during preparation for a high-intensity Glocal Event has only developed more TRUST within the organization. It is not an easy task to balance expectation of a Global event in a Local setup. But I say this all humility, it takes courage and a lot of hard work to set benchmarks year on year. 'cuz there are no shortcuts to hard work ;).

The biggest learning however, which becomes my reason of calling this POWER of flagship events is that it really brings together a large organization. In every sense of the word. When you find the whole company stand together, irrespective of departments, responsibilities on a daily regime, a thousand are seen as one. The inference of it is RESPECT for each one as the individual and also respect for the cause. Something which may go amiss in an otherwise 'corporate setup' that the world has seen. Respect is what brings together millions around the world. Respect for legends, for sportsmen, for icons. And then you find there are legends among equals. Legends that stand tall, not for stature, but in character, in leading. Is that not the biggest learning? Because if not remembered for the good we do, what worth is our toil!

It is a pleasure to work with a strong set of people. With a variety of opinions. to DEBATE an idea, to try something new, to show passion for what may just be an inkling, to work for honor, of all around. Sounds like philosophy, but i dare you... try it! Will only do good. :)
