Struggling to increase that open rate? If so, I have another question for you. How much time are you spending on your subject line and preheader??
Email subject lines aren't just the icing on the cake, they ARE the cake! ?? When scrolling through hundreds of emails, it's that captivating subject line that determines the fate of your email: to be read or ignored.
Here's why:
1?? First Impressions Matter: The subject line and preheader are the initial handshake in the digital world. Get it right, and you’ve got a foot in the door.
2?? Overcrowded Inboxes: With countless emails buzzing every day, standing out is key. One catchy subject line can mean the difference between getting noticed or being swiped away.
3?? ROI on Time: All your effort crafting the perfect email is worthless if it remains unopened. Spend that bit of extra time perfecting your subject to ensure you reach your audience.
A few ?? tips:
Remember, while we are primarily focusing on subject lines here, never forget the role of the preheader. Like a dynamic duo, they work best together, complementing each other! ??
Investing in a compelling subject line is investing in the success of your email campaigns.
I wouldn't want to dig into this topic without some examples. In my role in County Government, I am providing some examples below that I would consider using in our communications directly to our residents. This would be primarily addressing residents about services, programs, and other county-related matters.
Examples
Preheader: "Discover the latest programs tailored just for you."
Preheader: "Stay informed on the newest county benefits and initiatives."
Preheader: "Your guide to upcoming county events and services."
领英推荐
Preheader: "Essential information on county services and programs."
Preheader: "Empowering our community with the latest county offerings."
Preheader: "See how we're improving for you."
Preheader: "Join us for community-enhancing activities and initiatives."
Preheader: "Updates on our latest efforts to serve you better."
Preheader: "Insights into recent decisions and their impact on residents."
Preheader: "Connecting you to key resources and programs."
I wouldn't use the same one over and over. I would likely rotate through many of these and constantly tweak, test, and adapt.
Are you making the most of your email subject lines? ????
