Types Of Fault Analysis:
There are Two Main Types of Fault Analysis:
1. Open Circuit Fault:
This occurs due to the Failure of one or more Conductors in Series with Transmission Lines. It Reduces Reliability. Types are: Open “One, Two or Three Conductors” Faults.
2. Short Circuit Fault:
It occurs due to Low Resistance Connection between Phase Conductors or to Ground. They are further divided into Symmetrical & Unsymmetrical Faults based on the Balance of Fault Currents.

5 个月It looks like electric arc traveled from the connection terminal to the diode lead. Most likely some sort of overload.
