The power of Day Dreaming

Who would have thought that Day Dreaming could actually turn out to be a "Thing". As in a conscious choice, a technique or a method of alleviating feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, boredom and stepping into a creative state of exploration and reflection. Day Dreaming is being in a state between asleep and awake; when your brain waves are in the Theta state. Neurological research into the benefits of mediation have shown that when your brain waves are in Theta state, you switch from your logical analytical mind ( Beta) and sink into a more creative, intuitive subconscious realm. This state is also where the reprogramming of your mind can take place. The place where real fundamental, change starts to take place. Consciously choose to take a few minutes, take a few deep breaths, soften your gaze, blur your vision.... and let go. Shoulders, neck, chest, stomach, gaze ...soft. Be mindful of how you feel when you come out of it. Be mindful of your focus ,mood, and mindset for the next few hours afterward. Most people can only learn, focus and retain knowledge for 25 mins straight, afterwards we start to switch off. So take regular breaks, not to just go to another screen and catch up on social media. Schedule your time so that you have a real recovery period. So that you can day dream and perhaps connect with what else is next, what vision, what possibilities, what options are out there and in there,, within you for you ! I would love to know how it goes ! DM on here, FB or insta. Much love X

4 年Thank you for posting this Michael - a very timely article! I actually watched a video recently on these 4 states or waves we go into and have experimented with them for a couple of weeks. I find my brain goes into Theta mode just before falling asleep and my brain goes into this creative mode and begins to generate some fantastic ideas that I always think I would remember by the morning. Sadly I usually don't, as it just seems like a dream. Perhaps that is something I need to work on a little more. Thank you for spreading your positivity! ??
